The Caves, Edinburgh

The Caves is a night venue in Edinburgh that's situated in a massive vaulted what must have been wine-cellar or something - and as a result it's positively dripping with atmosphere! We watched a few bands here on friday (17th) and had a great olde time. Downstairs they have a dancefloor and bar (though watch your head if youre a tall bod like me, or you'll be taking chunks out of it). Upstairs they have another bar, some nice comfy collapsing leather sofas, dripping candleabras and a little balcony where you can watch the dancefloor below. I'll certainly be going back, they have a night named 'Departure Lounge' which sounds pretty good: http://www.departurelounge.me.uk/whats_on.htm
